Project Description:

E&R is providing engineering design for the reconstruction and widening of Cahoon Road from Lenox Ave to US 90. The complete street improvements will include turn lane and shoulder widening, shared use paths, ADA upgrades, signing and pavement marking improvements and signalization and lighting improvements. The rural section will be converted to an urban curb and gutter section with a new closed drainage collection system and SWMF. E&R completed an initial PD&E Phase to analyze typical section options and costs and developed an approved conceptual design plan that will be utilized as the basis for the future final design. Other scope elements include coordination with CSX, FDOT and SJRWMD, utility coordination, traffic control and public involvement efforts.
