Project Description:
Eisman & Russo, Inc. provided civil engineering design services for the widening of Old Jennings Road, from 2- lane rural to 5-lane urban section, from SR 21 (Blanding Boulevard) to Branan Field Road. Scope of work included development of horizontal alignment and vertical profiles for the travel lanes. Drainage analysis included all existing basins and proposed extension of cross culverts, design of open drainage and close systems and two wet detention ponds. Environmental impact studies and permitting efforts with the SJRWMD and the USACOE were provided. Right-of-way impacts including parcel takes and construction easements were identified and signing and pavement markings and installation of regulatory signage.
Preparation of MOT plans with lane closure analysis and restrictions were prepared. Utility coordination and relocations impacts of power, communication, water and sewer lines were identified and collection and analysis of geotechnical borings for ponds and signal pole foundation was provided. Signal work included developing of signal operating plans, adjusting signal timings, pedestrian clearance, relocation of signal controllers and installation of new signal heads and pedestrian signals at Blanding Boulevard and Branan Field Road intersections. Responsibilities included the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E), as well as post-design services.
