Project Description:
Eisman & Russo, Inc. performed Construction Engineering & Inspection services for the Design-Build Operational Improvements of the I-95/I-10 Interchange and Fuller Warren Bridge. The improvements to the existing I-95/I-10 Interchange included widening the Fuller Warren Bridge to create three extra lanes of traffic along I-95 as well as a shared-use path adjacent to the bridge. The bridges included drilled shaft foundations, piling, micropiles, footers, columns, and caps. The project included roadway reconstruction and widening of the I-95 and I-10 Interchange, ramp construction and widening, concrete & asphalt paving, construction of noise walls, ITS, signalization, signing, pavement markings and landscape relocation. Included in this work were improvements to local side streets with aesthetic features as agreed with area community stakeholders, businesses, and residents.
The project received the 2023 Florida Transportation Builders Association (FTBA) Best in Construction Award – Major Bridge.
