Project Description:

Eisman & Russo provided CEI services for this 2.4 mile project to reconstruct to a 3-lane urban section with new curb & gutter, closed drainage, sidewalks and bike lanes. The eastern and western ends were widened with black base and the existing roadway milled & resurfaced with cross slope correction. The midsection (1.3 mile) was reconstructed, widened, realigned and grade raised. The project included a UWHCA with the City of Winter Haven to install new, remove existing water and sewer lines utilizing significant directional drilling. The corridor is heavily traveled by vehicle, pedestrian and bicyclist in a constrained right-of-way with many businesses, medical facilities, schools, and residences.

The project received a 2021 ACEC-FL/ FDOT Outstanding Project Award (Roadway).
