Senior Roadway & Bridge Inspector - CEI

OPPORTUNITY
The Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Division continually recruits qualified and experienced Senior Road & Bridge Inspectors to perform complex technical assignments including inspection of roadway and bridge construction activities; oversight of contractor daily operations; supervision and support to inspection staff; performing materials sampling and verification testing; plans reading and specification interpretation; field surveying and construction engineering computations.

JOB LOCATION: Florida

JOB STATUS: Full Time

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 4 Years Relevant Experience, 2 of which in bridge/roadway/ITS construction, limited access toll roads a plus

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verification of field surveying and project layout
Perform engineering computations
Inspect construction work
Conduct field tests
Coordinate and manage lower level inspectors

REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma or equivalent and having four (4) years of road and bridge construction engineering inspection experience.

Ideal candidate shall possess the following Qualifications/Certifications:

CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level 1 and 2
CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1 and 2
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 1 and 2
CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
CTQP Final Estimates Level 1
Nuclear Radiation Safety
IMSA Fiber Optic
FDOT Intermediate MOT
